Description
Depending on the type of printer, ribbons are with an internal (IN) or external (OUT) winding. Depending on the type of printer, the ribbons can also be supplied in lengths of 100, 300, 360 and 450m.
Ribbons for thermal transfer printers come in three main types:
- wax
- wax-resin
- resin
Wax
They achieve good print quality with low thermal energy. They have poorer resistance to high temperatures, abrasion and chemical solvents. They are therefore used for printing paper labels.
Resin
They are characterized by high resistance to external influences. They require slow printing and maximum heat output for perfect dye transfer. They are suitable for plastic labels designed for harsh environments and textile materials.
Wax - Resin
Are a universal solution and are suitable for most materials.
